Business Intelligence Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take on the role of Business Intelligence Specialist. As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics solutions that drive business growth and inform strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define Analytics Requirements: Clearly define data requirements to enable efficient analysis and testing of hypotheses through discovery analytics.
- Develop Analytical Solutions: Build appropriate solutions, models, or algorithms to effectively address and resolve complex problems.
- Establish Enterprise Data Strategy Foundations: Create robust analytics foundations, including necessary processes and software, for the enterprise data strategy (EDS), and ensure solutions are transparent and technically sound.
- Enhance Documentation and Governance: Recommend and create appropriate documentation and governance to ensure repeatability and auditability of processes.
- Drive Strategy and Efficiency: Drive efficiencies and contribute to the long-term strategy of the business unit, simplifying people and business processes to support the RAC strategy and culture.
- Foster Team Capability and Relationships: Cross-skill team members to build overall capability and develop strong, effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
About You
- Advanced Analytics Experience: Demonstrated experience in an advanced analytics role, solving complex business problems with analytics.
- Analytics Tools Proficiency: Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with analytics tools.
- Big Data Technologies: Experience with Big Data technologies is desirable.
- Power BI Expertise: Experience with Power BI, including building and managing reports and dashboards.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with Azure, including integrating and utilising cloud-based analytics solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Educational Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as Business or Statistics.
