We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance on HSEQ compliance, management plans, and procedures across a range of construction and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation, including management plans, SWMS, and JHA's.
- Coach and advise site personnel on legislative requirements and company procedures, ensuring a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible working culture.
- Administer incident and hazard reporting processes, and take actions as per company procedures.
- Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate HESQ training programs, including the maintenance of competency standards.
- Actively analyze HSEQ performance, reporting, and system updates, and maintain the company's Integrated Management System to an accredited level.
- Compile project-specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed.
- Prior experience leading HSEQ in construction and remediation works, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a HSE advisor role.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline.
- Defence site experience is highly regarded, and ability to travel to various regional areas of SNSW.
- Experience in the creation and reviewing of management plans, SWMS, JHA's, and conducting audits.
- Understanding of Quality Management processes and ability to operate autonomously while ensuring project efficiency.
- Must be able to obtain a DCAC pass.
