Supporting Individuals with Daily Living Needs

As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, social interactions, and achieving their goals outlined in their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, and grooming while demonstrating empathy and respect for their needs and wishes.

- Provide companionship and support enabling clients to connect with their communities, including transportation and accompaniment for appointments, shopping, and social outings.

- Collaborate with clients to help them achieve their NDIS goals by developing and implementing individualized plans that cater to their unique needs and aspirations.

Requirements:

- Possess a strong sense of empathy and resilience, with the ability to thrive in demanding environments.

- Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to transport clients using your own vehicle.

- Possess qualifications in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Care, which are highly regarded.

- Be willing to obtain relevant certifications, including First Aid, CPR, Working with Children's Check, and a NDIS Worker Check.

- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature, with the ability to think critically and adapt to new situations.
