As an Aboriginal Employment & Engagement Senior Officer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to attract, develop, and retain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees within our organization.

About the Role

The Aboriginal Employment & Engagement Senior Officer is responsible for leading the development of our Aboriginal Employment & Engagement Strategy, which includes initiatives to promote cultural awareness, address workforce disparities, and provide opportunities for professional growth and advancement. You will work closely with senior leaders, HR teams, and other stakeholders to design and implement programs that support the recruitment, retention, and career progression of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the NSWPF Aboriginal Employment & Engagement Strategy, including objectives, targets, and performance metrics
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance cultural awareness and understanding among police personnel
  • Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employee engagement and career development
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on issues related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, retention, and career progression
