Role Overview

Aptella PaveSmart is a leading provider of surveying and paving services to major infrastructure projects across Australasia and the USA.

We take pride in delivering exceptional service through our experienced survey consultancy teams, providing complete control of asphalt surfacing projects and ensuring compliance with depth level requirements, contract tolerances, and smoothness standards.

As an Excavation Technician/Project Assistant, you will play a key role in utilising proprietary technology and level control systems to assist in material laying processes and provide clients with high-quality results.

This is a casual position with opportunities for career growth and development within our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise daily with site supervisors and engineering staff to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with plant operators and site staff to maintain level controls and achieve optimal results.
  • Operate asphalt paving machines using our proprietary PaveSmart system.
  • Install control networks to support efficient project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Asphalt Level Hand Experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Relevant experience in Asphalt Labouring/Operator roles, preferably with a strong background in construction.
  • Current Driver's Licence and Construction Induction Card are essential.
  • Rii and/or VOCs qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are crucial for this role.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and away from home as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical check and police clearance.
