National Health Information Management Director

About the Role:
The National Health Information Management Manager will provide operational leadership and management of health information services, health information systems, collection of clinical data in accordance with medical, legal, ethical, and legislative requirements across our national network.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, implement, manage, and administer health information services in collaboration with clinical leaders and other relevant personnel.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of electronic and paper medical records, clinical coding, grouping, and analysis of clinical information for billing, quality, and research purposes.
- Coordinate data submission to external parties, health record form design, and the development and implementation of policy and procedures associated with the control, use, storage, and retrieval of health information.
- Manage, train, and develop the health information management team and oversee the medical records departments to ensure compliance with current policies and procedures.
- Coordinate quality improvement activities to ensure data integrity and clinical coding, analyze clinical data for billing, quality, and research purposes, and oversee the transfer of relevant activity data to internal and external third parties.
- Assess work regularly to ensure continuous improvement in clinical coding and the collection of quality health data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Health Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for membership to HIMAA.
- Previous health information management experience, auditing experience, and spreadsheet skills.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Education/Vocational Training desired.
