About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team of Allied Health Professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapy services to individuals and groups.

Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and community sectors to identify their functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans and intervention strategies to maximise independence, functional capacity, and quality of life.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance daily living skills, cognitive abilities, mobility, and self-care.
  • Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop person-centred care plans and ensure holistic support.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to promote independence, functional ability, and overall well-being.
  • Provide education and support to clients, caregivers, and support workers to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and regulatory changes within the NDIS and community sectors.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to stay current with industry developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience working in the NDIS and community sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
