Visual Merchandiser

We are seeking an experienced and creative Visual Merchandise professional to join our retail team in Australia.

This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, Monday (and 2 other days) from our office in Melbourne.

As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the visual direction and creative execution across our retail stores and concessions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting the visual merchandising direction that supports our product range, trends, and brand identity.
  • Developing creative window concepts that align with our seasonal marketing and product direction.
  • Producing all creative and promotional print material.
  • Communicating the visual merchandising direction and window installations to the retail team via briefs and documentation.
  • Leading the visual merchandising direction for new store openings and providing training to new store teams.
  • Training and developing both VM and retail team members on VM standards and expectations.
  • Ensuring key promotions and internal direction are executed to optimize sales.
  • Developing floor plans and product flow to drive commercial results.
  • Elevating flagship stores and identifying future visual enhancements.
  • Conducting regular store visits to ensure directives are implemented and standards achieved according to company standards.
  • Sourcing props and working with external suppliers to bring the window concept together.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a similar role in the retail industry.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to travel to various store locations throughout Australia as required.
  • Strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • A keen eye for detail and analytical approach.
  • Strong commercial and retail acumen.
  • A genuine love and understanding of our brand.
  • Strong communication skills and high level of people and relationship management skills.
  • Effective time management – ability to prioritize to achieve results.
  • Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet.
  • Desire for continuous improvement.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Hold a current driver's license and vehicle.
