About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End React Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing our current systems to increase functionality and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop features and improvements from conceptualization to realization, working closely with the software engineering team.
  • Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Between 3 and 5+ years' experience in software development.
  • Experience working with at least one modern TypeScript framework, React is ideal.
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
  • Experience using REST APIs.
  • Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal.
  • Previous 'start-up' or 'scale-up' experience is favorable.
  • Familiar with Docker, Postman, Git Lab, AWS is favorable.
  • You are a lifelong learner.
  • You're self-taught and continuously learning.
  • You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise.
  • You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools.
  • You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments.
  • You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.
  • You're familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems.
  • An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry.
