The Opportunity:
As a Water Cart Operator, you will be responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently to support our Drill & Blast Teams.
This is a permanent position with an 8/6 (dayshift), 7/7 (nightshift) roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
You will work closely with the Drill Supervisor to achieve targeted outcomes by:
- Maintaining a positive workplace culture that reflects our values.
- Operating ancillary equipment to optimize productivity while ensuring safety.
- Contributing to a motivated and flexible production crew focused on quality production goals.
- Maintaining occupational health and safety standards relevant to operations.
- Reporting all observed safety incidents and hazards promptly.
- Completing Take-5s before starting each task or midway through if conditions change.
- Performing tasks professionally and diligently while treating others with dignity and respect.
- Maintaining good working relationships with superiors, peers, and clients.
- Conducting routine maintenance checks on watercarts to ensure they're in good working condition.
- Maintaining clear communication with drilling rig operators, supervisors, and team members to coordinate watercart operations efficiently.
About You:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience operating drilling and blasting equipment in a large open-pit mining operation.
- Self-motivation and discipline are essential.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- An HR License is necessary.
