About Your Responsibilities

You will design and develop Abi's mechanical systems, including joints, mechanisms, and transmissions, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • You will collaborate closely with electrical, software, and industrial design teams to integrate motors, sensors, and wiring into compact layouts.
  • You will lead iterative improvements through rigorous testing, simulations, and design reviews, continually evolving prototypes based on real-world performance.
  • You will create thorough documentation, testing protocols, and assembly guidelines that enable an efficient transition to volume production.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's/Masters/PhD degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, with a focus on mechanism design and manufacturability.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, OnShape, or equivalent) for complex geometry.
  • Experience using FEA, simulations (e.g., MATLAB), and maintaining clear design documentation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and advanced manufacturing (e.g., additive, composites) for weight-optimised designs.
