About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join Capral, Australia's leading Aluminium Manufacturing and Distribution company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal manufacturing process.
  • Install and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment regulations and industry standards.
  • Analyse and develop programs for plant optimisation, including downtime reduction, new equipment implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop computer-driven manufacturing equipment and control systems.
  • Follow maintenance planning schedules to maximise quality production output.
  • Provide assistance to Team Leaders to progress and develop the Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Develop creative solutions to improve manufacturing processes and build working relationships with production operators.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and use.
  • Assist in developing tests and fixtures for components and finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, and promote safety practices within the team.

Requirements:

  • An 'A' Class Electrical Workers Licence.
  • Well-developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Formal qualifications and extensive PLC experience.
  • Significant experience working in a modern manufacturing environment.
  • An understanding of computerised maintenance management systems.
