Support Worker Role

Make a Difference in Mental Health Support

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. This role involves providing support to individuals with mental health conditions, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household management
  • Encourage independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
  • Implement strategies from Positive Behaviour Support plans to promote positive outcomes
  • Accurately complete documentation and shift notes to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Provide respectful and culturally sensitive care to meet the diverse needs of our participants

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health or psychosocial disabilities is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with participants and colleagues
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are key characteristics for this role
  • Flexible availability and a commitment to person-centred care are also essential

Mandatory Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
