OSH Coordinator

The OSH Coordinator is a critical position at St George Christian School, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) facility. This role requires a skilled leader who can develop and implement programs, manage staff, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation
The OSH Coordinator will be responsible for designing and implementing programs that meet the needs of children, parents, and the school community. This includes developing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a high-quality service.
Staff Management and SupervisionThe OSH Coordinator will lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent care and education to children.
Communication and CollaborationThe OSH Coordinator will work closely with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition between school hours and OSHC care. This includes maintaining open communication channels, resolving conflicts, and building strong relationships.
Administrative and Financial ManagementThe OSH Coordinator will be responsible for managing the administrative and financial aspects of the OSHC facility, including fee collection, staff rostering, and budgeting.
Requirements- Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field. They will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality programs and services.
Certifications and TrainingThe OSH Coordinator will require current certifications in Senior First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. They will also be required to hold a current Working with Children Check.
