Job Title: Senior Lawyer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with Indigenous communities and have expertise in native title, cultural heritage, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising on native title claims, land use, and compensation
  • Representing clients in Federal Court and the Native Title Tribunal
  • Advising on Indigenous governance and cultural heritage matters
  • Facilitating meetings with PBCs and Traditional Owners
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and upholding legal compliance
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Eligibility for admission in WA and the High Court of Australia
  • Minimum 5 years of post-admission legal experience (highly regarded)
  • Experience in native title, cultural heritage, or environmental law
  • Legal advisory work on governance, land use, or mining
  • Litigation before the Federal Court
  • Working with Indigenous corporations or PBCs
