About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Manager with DevOps expertise to join our talented team at Bluefin Resources. As a key member of our ICT team, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, management, and optimization of our on-premise infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage the DevOps Team

Provide guidance and support to our DevOps team, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our applications.

  • Design and Implement On-Premise Infrastructure

Develop and maintain our on-premise infrastructure and applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and security.

  • Develop and Enforce Best Practices

Establish and maintain best practices for deployment, monitoring, and automation, ensuring our infrastructure and applications are always up-to-date and secure.

  • Ensure System Reliability and Performance

Proactively monitor and maintain our systems to ensure they are always running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with Development and IT Teams

Work closely with our development and IT teams to streamline our CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless integration of our applications.

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues

Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends

Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, ensuring our infrastructure and applications remain secure and efficient.

  • Document Infrastructure and Processes

Develop and maintain detailed documentation of our infrastructure, processes, and configurations, ensuring easy access and understanding for all team members.

Requirements
  • Proven Experience as a DevOps Manager

Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps management role, with a strong track record of success.

  • Strong Knowledge of On-Premise Infrastructure

Extensive knowledge of on-premise infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.

  • Proficiency in Automation Tools

Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef, as well as scripting languages such as.Net, Python, and Bash.

  • Experience with CI/CD Tools

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.

  • Solid Understanding of Security Best Practices

Solid understanding of security best practices and tools, ensuring our infrastructure and applications remain secure and compliant.

  • Excellent Leadership and Team Management Skills

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Abilities

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

  • Ability to Communicate Effectively

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and understanding.

  • Familiarity with ITIL Practices
