About the position
The role of Mental Health Clinician involves conducting triage, mental health assessments, short-term treatments and recovery support for individuals accessing acute mental health services at the entry point to our healthcare system. This clinician also collaborates with others to provide clinical leadership by offering advice on assessment, treatment options and risk management as needed.
About you
- Operates with a degree of independence and autonomy in various settings in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards within relevant legislation.
- Applies professional judgment to contribute to understanding complex presentations in collaboration with colleagues, consumers and their families and the community as appropriate.
- Utilises well-developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills within a multi-service, multi-disciplinary environment, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution.
Mandatory requirements:
- Vaccinated against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the relevant health directives.
