About the Role

The Ecological Conservation Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering effective conservation outcomes through strategic partnerships and expert technical advice to key stakeholders and land managers of remnant habitats, including wetlands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with landholders to access information and funding for on-ground management of remnant habitats.
  • Provide technical expertise to Landscape Board projects and planning processes.
Requirements
  • A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
  • Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • May involve participation in fire management or associated duties.
  • Occasional out-of-hours work and intrastate travel may be required.
  • Participation in the Landscape Board's Performance Development and Review Program is expected.
Contract Details

This part-time contract offers a competitive salary, approximately $65,000 per annum (based on 22.5 hours per week), until 30 June 2028.
