Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Service Operations Manager to join our fast-paced service department. This role is crucial to our success, so we're looking for someone with proven experience in the automotive industry who is ready for a challenge.

  • Assist with quality control processes and ensure that all work meets high standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians and apprentices to enhance their knowledge and performance.
  • Liaise with customers regarding technical concerns and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that company safety policies are followed within the workshop at all times.
  • Undertake routine service and repair work on Toyota and other vehicles to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records for quality assurance and production control.
  • Perform quality control inspections of technicians' work to ensure that it meets our high standards.
  • Ensure effective use of technician hours while maintaining productivity and efficiency of the team.
  • Work closely with the Parts department to ensure that all necessary parts are provided for repairs in a timely manner.
  • Cultivate and mentor staff to enhance their knowledge and performance and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the automotive industry with strong service/workshop/technical knowledge.
  • The ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team to improve performance.
  • Business acumen and personal motivation to meet targets and drive success.
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and make decisions quickly.
  • An organized, methodical approach to implementing and maintaining systems and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Confidence in handling challenging customer concerns and providing solutions in a timely manner.
