Energy Trader Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute market operating plans aligned with portfolio management strategy
  • Run short-term market forecasts and analysis to maximise portfolio management opportunities
  • Identify risks and opportunities in physical markets and manage regulatory risk

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in energy trading in Australian energy markets
  • Strong understanding of physical energy markets
  • High level of numeracy, including skills in using analysis tools such as Excel, Access and Visual Basic
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively to solve problems
