Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

About the Role:

The data acquisition team is responsible for ingesting, validating, and orchestrating raw data from internal systems and third-party providers.

You'll play a key role in designing and building robust, scalable, and extensible pipelines that feed the entire data ecosystem.

You'll work across multiple data domains and ingestion patterns – batch, streaming, and event-driven – while ensuring quality, performance, and governance are embedded in every step.

This team builds the foundation of Wex's data platform transformation, and every pipeline you create contributes directly to powering analytics, automation, and product intelligence across all business domains.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create data pipelines that ingest, validate, and orchestrate raw data from various sources.
  2. Design and build robust, scalable, and extensible data pipelines that meet high-quality standards.
  3. Work across multiple data domains, including batch, streaming, and event-driven ingestion patterns.
  4. Evaluate and ensure quality, performance, and governance throughout the data pipeline lifecycle.
