**Take Charge of a Thriving Orchard**
Our client, a pioneering agricultural company, seeks a seasoned Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and drive success in their picturesque Fitzroy River region orchard. As a key leader, you will play a pivotal role in producing premium-quality nuts while ensuring profitability, efficiency, and sustainability.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage all orchard operations with a strategic approach, focusing on pest management, irrigation, pruning, and fertigation.
- Lead, motivate, and train a team to maintain the health and standards of the orchard.
- Deliver accurate crop forecasts, manage harvests, and recruit farm staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Budget, implement, and optimize the Horticulture Management Plan to drive orchard performance and yield high-quality produce.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards, promoting a safe and inclusive company culture.
- Recommend and utilize machinery and equipment to enhance orchard efficiency and performance.
**Requirements**
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in horticultural, agricultural, or orchard management.
- A strong background in orchard operations with hands-on experience in irrigation and fertigation systems.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, train, and develop your team.
- Expertise in budgeting, crop forecasting, and managing the key elements of the Horticulture Management Plan.
- Certifications in ChemCert, forklift, tractor, and first aid competencies (preferred but not essential).
