Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Machinery Operator to join our team in resource recovery. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating plant equipment and machinery in line with individual tickets and competency.

About the Role

This is a temp to perm position offering $41.50-$43.00/hour + penalties. Day and afternoon shifts are available, including:

  • Day: 6:00am-3:30pm
  • Afternoon: 2:00pm-11:00pm

As a Heavy Machinery Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operating 30-50T excavators and front end loaders as directed by the Site Supervisor
  • Ensuring tasks are carried out in an environmentally sensitive manner
  • Undertaking general labouring duties and performing other general trade duties within the scope of qualifications, skills or competence
  • Performing basic plant, equipment and machinery maintenance in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Checking all plant, equipment and work location is fit for operation addressing any safety and environmental concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A drivers license and own reliable transport
  • A Construction White Card
  • Excavator and Loader tickets
  • Previous experience operating a Sales Loader is desirable
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mobile plant or heavy machinery production environment
