Process Improvement Specialist

This role involves providing technical support in metallurgical and process engineering, driving process enhancement initiatives, and leading modelling and simulation activities across all planning horizons.

A key focus will be maintaining and improving plant mass, power, and water balances through effective collaboration with site operations, maintenance, process control, shutdown and planning teams, as well as project execution groups and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and deliver solutions to operational challenges relating to safety, process performance, yield, and plant upgrades.
  • Engage stakeholders across the business to understand operational needs and deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with mine planning and geology teams to improve orebody knowledge and regression predictions.
  • Lead and support projects from concept through design, execution, commissioning, and handover.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the minerals processing industry with direct operational and technical development exposure.
