About the Role

Join Ventia in a role that keeps the Australian Defence Force's wheels turning. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical inspections and classification of vehicles
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
  • Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy vehicles
  • A current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
