Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team in West Tamworth. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care and improving community health outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services.

  • Provide culturally appropriate healthcare to patients
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in line with organisational policies and procedures
  • Culturally safe communication and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients, staff, and the broader community
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Must have a current Working with Children's Check and Police Check
  • Previous experience working in Aboriginal health, rural, or remote healthcare is highly desirable but not essential
