Job Title: Principal Project Manager

Department: Department of Health Hospitals & Primary Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Manager to join our team at the Department of Health Hospitals & Primary Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level analysis and advice on strategic policy, Government and Ministerial interaction, and risk issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the effective and efficient management and coordination of the office of the Deputy Secretary Hospitals and Primary Care.
  • Provide high-level analysis and advice on strategic policy, Government and Ministerial interaction, and risk issues.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement projects or programs of work, strategies, and initiatives that improve policies, procedures, processes, and Statewide systems.
  • Prepare and maintain project and procurement documentation, including project plans, budgets, technical and business requirements, minutes, and action plans.
  • Initiate and undertake high-level research, investigations, and analysis in cooperation with others to deliver required project outputs and outcomes.
  • Provide high-level advice and assistance to the Deputy Secretary, relevant Ministers, the Secretary, other Deputy Secretaries, and other senior staff.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
  • High-level expertise in contemporary project management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
