About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Investment Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our infrastructure investments in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records for assigned portfolio of entities, including data processing and bookkeeping on a day-to-day basis in accordance with applicable agreements and accounting principles.
  • Prepare financial reports, including monthly and year-end working papers, for annual financial reporting and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with various managers and teams to deliver and analyze financial information for internal and external reporting.
  • Support the Deal Team and OMERS on various financial reporting and analytics for assigned infrastructure investments.
  • Perform financial analysis and provide performance return information, including IRR, total return, and cash yield.
  • Liaise with deal team, legal, tax, and OMERS corporate to provide support in transaction execution.
  • Responsible for financial review and variance analysis of assigned portfolio.
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for assigned portfolio.
  • Participate in accounting research projects as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with experience in alternative investments preferred.
  • University degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Successful completion of an accounting designation (CA or CPA) is preferred.
  • Good understanding of AASB and IFRS.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness is essential, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Team-oriented but also able to work independently.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately (both verbally and in writing).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
