Footwear Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced footwear specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring shoes and boots to their original condition.

This is a unique opportunity to work with premium fashion brands and consumers who value sustainability and quality over fast fashion. Our business is built on the principle of extending the life of existing items, rather than constantly producing new ones.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of experience in footwear repair and restoration. They will be familiar with different shoe constructions, leather, and rubber parts. A keen eye for detail and ability to work with precision tools are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and restore shoes and boots to their original condition
  • Use machinery and hand tools to replace parts, clean, condition, polish, and recolour leather
  • Repair holes and tears in uppers
  • Work with varying degrees of speed and attention to detail, depending on the type of repair being performed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals and deliver results

Requirements:

  • At least 12 months of experience in footwear repair and restoration
  • Familiarity with different shoe constructions, leather, and rubber parts
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to work with precision tools
  • Ability to work with varying degrees of speed and attention to detail, depending on the type of repair being performed
  • Permanent rights to work in Australia
