Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled GIS technologist to support the development of our Vegetation Asset Management system.
  • This role is critical in providing subject matter expertise for GIS and IT-based projects as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Spatial Science (minimum) or relevant comparable experience.
  • Extensive experience developing web mapping applications using multiple GIS technologies, including GeoServer, ESRI & ArcGIS.
  • Strong back-end .NET and/or Java development skills.
  • Ability to code and script with OpenLayers, JavaScript, Python, AngularJS, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server Spatial database experience.
  • Demonstrated Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in interpreting and editing geospatial vector data.
  • Demonstrated capability in interpreting and manipulating geospatial imagery data (raster formats).
  • Demonstrated capability in processing and interpreting LiDAR data.
  • Understanding of geodetic datums and map projections.
  • Demonstrated experience working with business teams to identify operational requirements for integration into developed systems.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
