The Role

This 36-month full-time traineeship will provide you with the opportunity to work outdoors, develop skills and knowledge in various areas with hands-on experience and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trim and chip/mulch trees
  • Tree removal
  • Pest and weed control
  • Undertake appropriate climbing techniques
  • Use relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippers

  • Enjoy working in the outdoors and using garden tools
  • Committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Effective time management and task prioritisation
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • A can-do attitude and display initiative
  • Ability to follow directions and work under limited supervision
Requirements
  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
  • Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
  • Previous experience in gardening or similar trades an advantage
