We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cardiac procedure nurse to join our dynamic team at St Vincent's Health Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Right heart catheter and Endomyocardial procedures within the Interventional Cardiology Service, supporting the Heart Transplant Program. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Heart Transplant Consultants and Registrars, allowing for growth in specialized knowledge and skills.

  • Coordinating patient surveillance and assisting in procedures
  • Discussing peri- and post-operative management with patients and families
  • Providing training and education to staff members

This position also offers the opportunity to work in the Cath Lab, increasing and diversifying your skill set. You will be working in a Monday to Friday role, providing high-quality care to heart and lung patients.

Requirements
  • Current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Cardiothoracic Transplant/cardiac/pulmonary and or ICU nursing
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team

A strong understanding of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis are essential for this role. The ability to apply and learn new skills in a timely fashion is also required.
