Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our local Maintenance Team located at Wellcamp, QLD. The ideal candidate will have a relevant trade qualification and be highly motivated to carry out a range of tasks on our fleet of equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Service and repair of all equipment
- Rebuilds and overhauls
- Creation of new equipment, building and assembly
- Conducting daily prestart meetings and filling out JHAs as required
- Guiding and sharing information with the team of fitters as required
- Travel to worksites if needed
- Relevant trade qualification
- Heavy vehicle and earthmoving experience
- Good understanding of scan and diagnostic tools for both aftermarket suppliers and OEMs
- Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems and repairs
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to manage, locate and order stock/spare parts
- Ability to work unsupervised on tasks
- Ability to be creative and work outside normal tasks with repairs on specialized equipment
