Role Overview
Are you an enthusiastic security researcher with a background in evaluating large, intricate software systems? We seek skilled professionals who are passionate about security research and crafting innovative solutions for our critical clientele. Identifying and integrating vulnerabilities to devise new attack strategies is a core aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute comprehensive security evaluations across various products and services.
- Design and assess complex systems for security integrity.
- Conduct thorough security assessments utilizing static and dynamic analysis results.
- Develop testing tools to assist engineering teams in identifying security vulnerabilities.
- Stay informed about emerging Tactics, Techniques & Procedures (TTPs) of attackers, and incorporate them into security risk assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address and resolve security concerns.
- Provide mentorship to team members in software security practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 7 years focused on IT security in areas such as software security assessments, penetration testing, or web application evaluations.
- Strong interest in vulnerability research and exploit development.
- Proven experience in designing and evaluating secure systems.
- Ability to self-direct learning and achieve long-term objectives.
- Effective communication skills to convey risks and urgency to management and technical teams.
- Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a large cloud or internet software organization.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Go, Java, Python, or C/C++.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Capability to conduct manual source code reviews.
- Hands-on experience in cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, or vulnerability management.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP or OSWE.
- Experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and their mitigations.
- Familiarity with vulnerability classification frameworks.
- Ability to perform threat modeling to identify design flaws.
