Fine Cut Quality Meats is a well-established butcher shop known for offering premium cuts and personalized service to our valued customers. We are looking for an experienced and passionate butcher to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting, trimming, boning, and slicing various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to customer specifications and product requirements.
  • Ensuring workspaces, tools, and equipment comply with food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination.
  • Assisting customers by providing product recommendations, preparing custom orders, and offering advice on meat selection, cooking, and storage.
  • Safely and efficiently using specialized meat processing equipment, such as grinders, slicers, and bandsaws, while performing routine maintenance and ensuring proper functionality.
  • Monitoring stock levels, rotating products to ensure freshness, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control practices.
  • Following health and safety standards in the handling, preparation, storage, and display of meat products.
  • Restocking shelves, arranging meat displays attractively, and assisting in the overall organization of the store environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques, with previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role (minimum 1-2 years preferred).

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, with opportunities for growth. The salary range for this position is AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on skills and qualifications.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
