As a dedicated Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of our clients in Cairns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flexible planning is required to accommodate changes in client plans as they arise, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • You will assist clients with bathing, dressing, and morning medication routines as needed, providing a safe and respectful environment.
  • Domestic tasks include bed making, vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cooking, and cleaning the kitchen and bathroom areas.
  • Engage with clients warmly, initiate conversations, and support their preferences and routines, including social activities and meals with friends.
  • Provide transportation and assist with errands such as grocery shopping while maintaining safety and a positive attitude.
  • Add notes to the client system after each visit using mobile apps to ensure a clear record for subsequent visits.
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in supporting clients and improving their lives is essential.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent qualifications are required.
  • A driver's license, reliable car, comprehensive insurance, WWCC, and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) are necessary.
  • Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for documentation and communication.

  • Flexible hours, preferably Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, but flexibility is available.
