As a member of our Criminal Law Practice, you will gain hands-on experience representing clients in criminal law matters, including bail applications, pleas, summary trials, committal hearings, and higher court mentions.

  • Representing clients in criminal law matters, including bail applications, pleas, summary trials, committal hearings, and higher court mentions.
  • Providing duty lawyer services and legal advice to clients in the Magistrates and Children's Courts, including assisting clients in custody.
  • Advocating for clients, preparing cases, and instructing counsel in all jurisdictions.
  • Supporting law reform, policy initiatives, and service delivery improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Representing clients in criminal law matters, including bail applications, pleas, summary trials, committal hearings, and higher court mentions.
  • Providing duty lawyer services and legal advice to clients in the Magistrates and Children's Courts, including assisting clients in custody.
  • Advocating for clients, preparing cases, and instructing counsel in all jurisdictions.
