Senior Technical Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Leader to join our team. This role is focused on leading a team of engineers and defining the technical strategy for our Feature Control platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the development and evolution of our Feature Control platform
  • Defining and implementing technical strategies that drive business outcomes
  • Partnering with data and product leaders to ensure measurement is embedded into launches
  • Owning the technical roadmap and delivery for Canva's rollout and flags infrastructure
  • Collaborating with engineering leaders to promote safe deployment patterns across the organization
Requirements:
  • Have led engineering teams across both frontend and backend infrastructure
  • Bring deep technical expertise in feature flagging, rollout systems, or developer platforms
  • Are comfortable coaching engineers across the stack and guiding architectural decisions that scale
  • Have experience with modern, polyglot environments—at we use Java, Go, TypeScript, GraphQL and, AWS
  • Lovely mentoring and have a track record of helping people grow and thrive
  • Think like a product partner, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impact
  • Communicate clearly—whether unpacking technical decisions or aligning stakeholders
  • Thrive in ambiguity, set clear direction, and bring others along on the journey
