Promoting Aquatic Safety Across Communities

This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact in the community as a Water Safety Educator.
The role involves delivering engaging and fun water safety education programs, sports initiatives, training sessions, and mentoring for multicultural communities in both classroom and beach settings.
You will be responsible for coordinating learn to swim courses, beach excursions, and water safety education incursions, including casual staff rostering, equipment management, and subcontractor support.
Liaising closely with community group leaders and stakeholders to address aquatic education and employment needs for the communities they represent is also a key part of this role.
As a Water Safety Educator, you will have the opportunity to mentor young people in their aquatic training pathways and support volunteer Lifesaving Clubs and their members.
A self-starter who enjoys working both in the office and delivering on-site, working independently under minimal supervision, is ideal for this position.
Required skills include strong leadership abilities, experience in education, aquatic, and/or recreational program delivery, and passion for working with multicultural communities.
