Job Title

An Assistant Learning Support Role

This position involves supporting the delivery of quality teaching and learning by assisting with engaging classroom activities and preparation under the direction of the principal and teaching staff.

Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the Australian Curriculum in line with departmental priorities and individual student needs, interacting with children to foster a love of learning through a growth mindset and development of their independent problem-solving skills, preparing and managing learning materials, supervising small-group activities, playground duties, and aiding with administrative tasks such as photocopying and resource organisation.

  • Support positive behaviour management and inclusive classroom environments.
  • Engage respectfully with families and the community and maintain confidentiality and protocol in line with education policies.

Formal qualifications in education support or currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Primary equivalent are required. A current Blue Card and excellent communication teamwork adaptability and a growth-focused mindset are also essential.

About The Position

This is a part-time role working three days per week Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 2:30pm at a small school with a big heart high expectations and a long proud history.

Situated in a remote location surrounded by beautiful farmland we are deeply committed to giving every student the best possible start to their learning journey.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated understanding and experience planning observing and reporting using on student learning and behaviours. They will also be able to demonstrate respect for individual learning needs community focus and fostering child-centred partnerships.
