ADF Rehabilitation Specialist

Be part of the team that supports the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) return to wellness. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will utilise your clinical skills to help individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey. Your unique nursing perspective will bring valuable insights to support the ADF's goal of achieving specific health outcomes.
- Conduct worksite assessments to identify areas for improvement;
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including medical specialists, treatment providers, and allied health professionals;
- Develop and implement return to wellness plans, drawing on your nursing knowledge;
- Manage rehabilitation cases, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
A key aspect of this role is the focus on service delivery outcomes, rather than billable hours. This allows you to concentrate on providing genuine person-centred care.
Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with set working hours, Monday to Thursday (7:30am - 4pm) and Friday (7:30am - 1:30pm). You will be working at RAAF Base Amberley.
APM, a high-quality service provider, will support and mentor you through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process. This will help you build your technical knowledge and expertise, setting you up for success in this role.
What will make you successful:
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing;
- Strong clinical reasoning;
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal;
- Passion to help people rehabilitate.
Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Osteopaths, or Social Workers with appropriate professional registration are also encouraged to apply.
