About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Star Gold Coast. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Chef de Cuisine and assisting with leading the team to deliver exceptional food and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Lead a team of chefs to ensure consistency in high-quality food and service standards
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • Senior Chef experience in a 5-star environment or large restaurant
  • Previous experience in a 5-star conferencing and Events operation
  • Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food
  • Basic computer skills essential
  • Full working rights to commit to 40 hours a week
