We are seeking a passionate educator to join our team as a Secondary Science Teacher in Melbourne.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making science meaningful and engaging for students in Years 7 to 9.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive science curriculum aligned with educational standards and guidelines, covering biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and environmental science under the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and inquiry-based activities.
  • Manage laboratory facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized environment for conducting experiments and investigations.
  • Teach students proper laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and ethical practices in scientific research.
  • Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and mastery of scientific concepts and skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Must have VIT registration or be in the process of obtaining this.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Science in Australia/NZ/Placement experience essential.
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
