The Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Laundry Assistant to join our Mornington Aged Care facility on a casual basis. As a Laundry Assistant, you'll provide quality laundry services for personal clothing that contribute to residents' comfort, physical appearance, and sense of self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure residents have clean, fresh clothes and linen
  • Label and store laundry correctly
  • Identify and report maintenance issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain resident privacy and dignity
Requirements
  • Experience in a Laundry Assistant role
  • Caring and compassionate nature
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S procedures and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to our workplace culture based on the BEST philosophy
Essentials for Working in Aged Care
  • Current Working With Children Check card/Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
