Lead Technical Electrical Engineer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to shaping the future within an innovative environment.

This role requires technical authority, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex engineering deliverables from concept through to production, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The position is responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks for automotive, defence, and rail applications. The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering complex electrical systems and must be registered as a Professional Engineer in the area of electrical engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and Developing Electrical Systems
  • Managing requirements capture, verification & validation activities across all project phases
  • Collaborating with mechanical, systems, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technical standards
  • Experience in systems engineering and structured V&V processes
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools for electrical design

Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or NV1) is also required.
