About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our team based in Forrestdale. In this position, you will play a crucial role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of key components across the Hitachi product range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pressure wash machine components to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure the safe operation of forklifts to prevent accidents and damage to equipment.
  • Assist Tradesmen in disassembling components according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy during final QA inspections and pack units for dispatch.
  • Contribute to store control by receiving and dispatching Reman items promptly and accurately.
  • Soda Blast machine components to restore them to their original condition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment to promote efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to recognize basic product quality deviations/faults and take corrective action.
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Be available to work flexible hours/shifts and overtime when required.
  • Forklift License, dogging ticket, and blasting experience are advantageous but not essential.
