Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Legal Adviser (530115) to join our team in providing expert legal advice and guidance to support the delivery of health and wellbeing services to the community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist high-level legislative review and legal support advisory services to the Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Executive, Strategic Executive, and other senior managers in DoH regarding legal policy issues for the health system including statewide and national issues and developments.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to relevant DoH and Government policies, practices, and procedures, codes of conduct, and probity requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide expert legal advice and guidance on complex and sensitive legal matters.
