Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Head to lead our finance team and drive business growth.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take ownership of the financial management of EBR. The successful candidate will be a hands-on Senior Finance Leader with strong interpersonal and leadership skills who can demonstrate tangible examples of improving finance functions, systems, and procedures.
  • You will have previous experience in managing and developing a team, as well as showing the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with senior leaders of the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Internal management reports, forecasting, KPI reports, and variance analysis to support informed decision-making and drive business success.
  2. Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Oversee statutory compliance and reporting, including taxation, GST, FBT, and Payroll Tax, to maintain regulatory adherence.
  4. Drive change, innovation, and continuous improvement in systems, work processes, and practices to achieve operational efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.
  5. Manage, lead, and develop our growing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  6. Maintain and improve existing performance dashboards for key staff, providing real-time insights and actionable recommendations.
  7. Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives, leveraging financial expertise to inform business decisions.
  8. Lead various projects, including significant integrations, system implementations, and commercial ventures, to drive business outcomes and growth.
About You:
  • Previous CFO experience in a commercial role, with a proven track record of driving financial growth and transformation.
  • A university degree and either a CA/CPA qualification, demonstrating expertise in financial management and leadership.
  • Strong examples of Financial, Operational, Commercial, and Strategic Leadership, with a focus on driving business outcomes and growth.
  • An interest and understanding of tools available to streamline the finance function, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
  • A strong understanding of complex groups and structures, with experience in managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills using Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero), with experience in implementing and optimizing financial systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
