The Role
As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for expressions of interest from experienced Legal Assistants and Professional Services Personal Assistants and Secretaries who are looking to build a long-lasting and rewarding career within legal support.
As a Legal Assistant, you will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, assisting in the smooth running of our practice groups and ensuring our lawyers perform at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan for and deliver high-quality, accurate work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
- Manage the billing process for your direct team, including clients with specific billing requirements.
- Organise national and international travel.
- Assist partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements.
- Manage partners' internal and external appointments with appropriate meeting lead times, including travel and diary management.
- Assist with meeting preparation and the coordination of post-meeting actions.
Skills & Experience:
We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who demonstrate:
- A minimum of 18 months' experience as a legal secretary or professional services secretary.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Teams).
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience in using legal billing systems and client management programs (Aderant desirable).
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to think ahead.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
