About the Opportunity



We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Beverage Design team in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast of NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new machinery and plant, as well as providing engineering design, construction, supervision, and commissioning support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new machinery and plant from concept through to final engineering drawings.
  • Provide engineering design, construction, supervision, and commissioning support to the core beverages engineering design team members.
  • Develop project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Supervise contractors during construction, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Develop scope documents and specifications for new equipment.
  • Provide hands-on technical support in the operation and commissioning of new equipment.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic or Process/Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in engineering and project teams in the food and beverages, pharmaceutical, or construction industries.
  • Experience designing new machinery and plant.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D.
  • Ability to supervise contractors.
  • Understanding of WHS obligations in the workplace.
  • Understanding of hygienic design principles related to the food and beverage industry.
